Dear Austin

Dear Austin,
I can't believe you are four years old already. You have grown and changed so much and still do everyday. I will never forget the moment you came into my life and changed my world and what I thought I knew my definition of love was. I think most moms (parents) would agree having a child brings on a whole new meaning.

From the moment you came into this world you've taken in everything! You have never wanted to miss a thing and have always been fascinated with what the "big kids" are doing. You are ALL boy and I love every thing that entails even if it leaves me falling asleep right after you do.

My favorite thing about you still to this day is the fact that you love to cuddle with us.  I am not sure if it is the fact that you were our first born and got all of our attention but still at four years old you will climb onto our laps and fall asleep.  I soak up these moments when they come because I know all too soon you will not want to be held in my arms.

You are a great big brother and as soon as you wake up you're ready for Hunter to get up too so you both can play. When you go to places and get stuff you always get something for Hunter too.

Austin Alan Colschen you are my first baby boy and I thank you for redefining love. I will never be able to thank you enough because with the new definition of love you brought to me you've also brought me closer to Our Father, God! I talk to him daily and thank him for the blessings in my life that I used to not recognize. You opened my eyes to a whole new world and I am so grateful! I love you!!!

Dear Hunter

Dear Hunter,
It is hard to believe you are two years old already. You have taught me so much but I think most importantly how to love when you aren't sure you can love any more. I was scared as a mom I wouldn't have enough love to go around for both my babies but you taught me that the love you think you have grows more and more.

There are some things that haven't changed since you were born. For instance, you love to eat! This started in the hospital, lasted the nine months you woke up during the night for a "snack", and continues with you eating your plate of food and finishing your big brothers.

One of the things I love the most about you is the love you have of your blankets. Every morning you wake up you have to pick up and carry with you every blanket in your bed. This results in you walking with wide steps and very slowly as you don't want to step on the blankets dragging between your legs. It's so cute and every morning you do it I think to myself, "I hope you do this forever! It makes you my baby."

You are in so many ways like your brother and I love seeing those moments because it helps me remember when Austin was little but I also enjoy watching you becoming your own person.

Hunter Ryan Colschen you are my second baby boy and I thank you for all the lessons you've taught me and continue to teach me. I will never be able to thank you enough for teaching me that love is something that just doesn't fit into a "box" but is rather something that is never contained and something that can be shared, grown, and multiplied beyond anything you can dream or imagine. I love you!!!

Love, Mommy

Just Another Day...

So I thought I'd post a few random pictures of everyday things that happen in our house. If you have little ones I'm sure you've got similar photos. I love our crazy life!!

Daddy giving "airplane" rides. Austin first...

Now it's Hunter's turn

Playing outside is a must

And when you're outside you gotta get dirty of course...

Which means its bath time

Then it's time for bed. Hunter goes down first...

And then shortly after it's Austin's turn

Repeat and do again tomorrow! Love every minute of our life and can't wait for our new one to join us! If it's another boy we might need to get more insurance as I can only imagine what will happen to our house with three boys and if it's a girl she better come out with football pads on. Haha!

Bluebonnets 2012

Last weekend we went to a park close to our house to take our annual pictures in the Bluebonnets. I'm glad we went because it seems like overnight they have disappeared. It's hard to believe its been four years that we have been doing this. We got a couple good pictures but these days it's a little tricky trying to get a good picture in.
