I Love Party Planning!

I am so excited because I ordered the boys invitations tonight! I guess I should rephrase the word ordered because I made them in photoshop and am having Snapfish print my creation. I can't wait for them to come in the mail. The even better news...they only cost me $3.69! That's right. I had 50 free photo credits with Snapfish so just had to pay for shipping. I was trying to explain to David that he should feel blessed but I don't think he was buying it. Haha! I have only been trying to plan their party since before Christmas. I knew I wouldn't have time to do all that I wanted with two boys running around...well running and crawling so I started early. I debated between two themes: Dr. Seuss and Super Heroes! You can see which one won! Now onto the party favors and cake planning which I have also been thinking about for awhile :)

Back of Invitation

The birthday poem reads:
Brothers are special and super heroes are too,
Report to Bouncin' Bears to celebrate with these two!
On Sunday, April 10th from 10-12 will be their birthday bash,
Throw on your socks and get there in a flash!
Hunter is one and Austin is turning three,
Every hero will bounce, eat pizza, and cupcakes at this party!
R.S.V.P to the Super Parents before the big day,
Secret hideout information is above so you can find your way!
(It's an acrostic. I made an acrostic for Austin's first birthday with the word Monster since that was his birthday theme. This year the word was Brothers!)

Brotherly Love!

Tonight after dinner I took the boys for a walk. (David was gone coaching soccer.) Towards the end of our walk Hunter started talking so I told Austin that Hunter was saying hold my hand. Being the great big brother he is he held his hand...
Of course this then opens up the can of worms so later we looked like this...
And this...
And this...

I guess that's what you call brotherly love!

Hear, See, and Say No Evil

Austin is always using his imagination. This morning he decided to wear socks for gloves. I asked him to pose for me...I love that he will still pose for pictures (well sometimes).

Monkey Hear No Evil...
Monkey See No Evil...
Monkey Say No Evil...

Hunter is Sick!

Thursday afternoon Hunter started to not be himself. We almost ran him to the doctor but David convinced me he would be fine. When David got him home his temperature was 101.8 and we both were thinking we should have gone to the doctor. Hunter slept on David's chest which NEVER happens...
After his "nap" I tried to feed him baby food which he hasn't had in months (since he eats real food now) because I was thinking it wouldn't hurt his throat as bad. He was trying to be happy but you could tell he didn't feel good...
So I took today off and brought him to the doctor. Again he was trying to be happy while waiting in the lobby...
But by the time we got back to our room he was like this...
They ran the flu test and it came back negative. Thank goodness! But the doctor was still concerned because he got so sick so quickly. She tested his white blood cells and why we waited for those results he looked like this...
His white blood cell count was very high so she had him get a shot that contained a big boost of antibiotics and also prescribed him some. By the time we got home he looked like this...
I'm so glad he's almost back to his normal self. We had smiles and laughs today. We just need our champion eater back.
